Azvant has been extensively involved in handling complex litigation cases, including white-collar crimes, where he has represented high-profile individuals and corporations in corruption cases.

He has also been involved in multi-million-dollar lawsuits, including contract disputes involving a major foreign oil company and a commercial dispute over intellectual property between prominent electronics brands. And he is experienced in handling bankruptcy cases and proceedings in the Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia.

Azvant previously worked at UNAIDS (the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS) Jakarta Office, where he was heavily involved in preparing the Indonesian Government’s report on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).

Highlights:

  • Represented PT PLN (Persero) in several legal matters and civil cases before the court.
  • Advised the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) in 2021.
  • Legal Advisor to Entrepreneurs Handling Alleged Corruption Crime Cases at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding Alleged Gratification to the main director of PT Jasindo and Corruption Crime in the Procurement of AW-101 Transport Helicopters for the Indonesian Air Force in 2016/2017 at Central Jakarta District Court.
  • Legal Advisor for PT Sucofindo (Persero) and its employee regarding Alleged Corruption Crimes in the 2018 FY 2018 Drinking Water Prohibition Program Activities within PDAM Duasaudara Bitung City.
  • Represented Mayor of Ambon regarding the alleged Corruption Criminal Act.
  • Legal Counsel for the Minister of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia as Respondent in connection with the Request for Arbitration on the Basis of Default submitted by Palapa Ring Barat at the Indonesian National Arbitration Board (BANI).
  • Legal Consultant to the Directorate General of SDPPI regarding State Administrative Case at the Jakarta State Administrative Court.
  • Legal Counsel for PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia and PT Chevron Indonesia Company in litigation process in Jakarta, Riau and West Java.
  • Represented Vena Group Indonesia in the litigation process in North Sulawesi, Bali and Riau Island.
